Appeal to the public to take all necessary precautions during of severe weather event

 

On foot of Met Eireann’s red level rain warning and orange level wind warning, Donegal County Council is appealing to members of the public to take special care when outdoors over the next 36 hours and is advising essential travel only.

 

In areas prone to flooding, the Council is asking all property owners to take all necessary precautions and to consider appropriate contingency measures for the expected duration of this severe weather event.

 

The Council is continually monitoring conditions and will respond to emergency call outs as required.

 

The Council can be contacted on 074 91 53900 and in the event of an out of hours emergency the Council’s Road Service can be contacted on 074 91 72288.
